Can we please get some OTHER notification that our store is going to lapse other than JUST a message when we login, a message I didn't even see incidentally? I mean a mod suggested I was supposed to get a message here on DC but I didn't and I didn't get it in email, and I logged in a few nights ago and everything was peachy keen and then I log in tonight and my store is gone and someone else rented in my place.

I would mind this so bad if we could not lose valuable inventory like notch apples. Is the need for store space so great that there can't be some sort of gentler grace system? Geez. I liked the old way better. And I've seen more than just myself screwed over by this unforgiving system.

Nevermind, I've been told we don't even get THAT anymore, we don't get ANY notifications that our stores are about to lapse. Who the butt remembers exact dates for months on end?

Rented regions will warn you that they're about to expire one day, one hour and again five minutes before they're due to expire.

If you don't play every day, it's worth checking your rent every week or two. If you're going to be away from the server for a long time, you can rent several months in advance.

Thanks for replying. Might be worth thinking about adding "one week" into that warning period. That's what I was counting on when I bought up four months ahead, I thought it was one week so I thought hey...I'll log in at least once a week. For pete's sake I heard even one of the mods lost a store.

Sowwy JJ! I might make another store might not. Seems quite a bit dodgy as our dear Ren would say.
