I am no longer giving away stuff on the sur2 world. In the past few days i realized that i keep giving away materials and blocks that i currently sell in the mall. To fix this problem, i am no longer giving away items "i.e. bone blocks, iron, packed ice, etc." If you wish to get something from me, look in my plot in the mall "yellow district." If it isn't there, ask me in chat to trade for the item(s) "diamonds would always be welcomed."

Thank you for hopefully understanding, and i'll see you on the server.

I try to as well "try being the key word," but a lot of times people will ask for it, and i don't refuse.

For me it depends on the items, on who's asking, on how they ask, and the amount they're asking for.

If somebody is always begging for (easily obtainable) stuff, they probably won't get anything.

If somebody spams the chat with "need food", "starving", but never actually asks whether somebody might share some with him, nope, not getting any. But if they say hi, i'm new here, would anybody have some food to get me started, or stuff like that, i might even go out of my way to get them a stack of fish or something.

If they need 1 item to make their build complete, i've probably got it.

Relatively rare items (packed ice, terracotta) i'll probably not give away, dirt or stone probably yes, if it's something i've just gotten lots of i might well give it away, bulk items which i had to mine (sand, gravel) probably not...

But yeah, it depends, and it always helps if you ask nicely ^^

The first months on dogcraft i was too easy on giving away starter items... Even brought me a shortage in food
Nowadays I only help out players of which I know they're serious about their 'gameplay' and are pretty active as well, and that's easy to check on their behaviour.
I personally hate the frequent 'begging' players who are even too lazy to cut down a tree, why play Minecraft then? Like it's our fault they don't have the resources yet (again it's minecraft survival, everything is for free if you spend time on it).
