I started a SkyBlock map and theres no mobs sponing. Is that normal or did I do somthing rong?

 Also is there a wat to go to the nether?

Having the same problem with no mobs spawning. I hope they can fix it. Skyblock only works with mob farms. I will check back in few days to see if its working.

I think it's fixed; at least, I managed to get a few mobs spawning in a dark room about thirty-some blocks below my main islet.  Had to water-vator down.  Unfortunately I created a death trap and as it turns out, I can't actually harvest or fix anything because it's lethal.  Skellies and creepers and spiders, oh my.  And no shield against arrows.  DX'

I think you have to be about 20 blocks away from the spawn area for them to start to appear. The closer to 0 = y elevation will cause them to have increased rates due to being lower in the world.  Test with caution. Good luck!
