Hello!
Soon there will cause for celebration as it will be the One-Year anniversary of the City of Lackria! But before I get to that (and what's happening) here is a little bit of background on the town.

On the 26th of May, 2016 I began work on Lackria with my ambition being to be part and lead a community project on a large scale as . I had been wondering around the server for a few hours before that point, gathering some resources but it was in the evening when I discovered an amazing building that still seemed fairly under construction; the Spawn Station. I followed the signs, searched for a big empty plains biome and traveled down the rails that went through the largest stretch of flat area I could find. This happened to be a stretch along TTAR1's personal track which was a pretty bumpy ride to say the least.

I arrived at the stretch of land at the co-ordinates (2395, -160), surveyed and lit up the vicinity and asked if anyone wanted to help me. Little did they know what they'd be getting into in a mere few hours. SENsationals02 said he was interested, and teleported to me. We built a small station and fenced of a couple of 15x15 areas for plots. After that, for the first time I asked if anyone wanted to make a house in Lackria. The first person to accept our offer was CptUp (who later moved his house) and the second was FireRack (seen below - his is the oldest house in Lackria.)

After the first few joined Lackria filled up quickly. In the first evening around 10 plots were marked and claimed. From that point, many things  were built and many people came to the city to watch as people built up. Places such as the City Hall, Lackria Gardens, my manor, the Fountain of Saints, Lackria Docks, the Modern Station, the thirty road designs we went through :p, the light District, the Blue District, the orange district, the farming district, the hills at the back of town, the elytra race course, many shops and services, the secret laboratory that no-one will ever see, the bridges, the underground storage center, the City Banner, the PvP Battle Arena, the Cyberdog Events Commitee, the whole rail to Lackria, lots of rail beyond Lackria, lots of terraforming, the Lackria Boats and most importantly simplesimon's pie shop, were all built by and for the community and are all used today. It was also amazing to have Ren tour around the town, which was very exciting meeting the derp himself. Looking at the screenshots below are hundreds of hours of work and it may be a virtual minecraft city but it's kind of amazing to see lots of people come together to create something larger and I think it's something quite worth celebrating.

Anniversary Celebrations
Which brings me on to celebrating the One-Year anniversary coming up on the 27th of May (not the 26th as that's a Friday and the 27th is probobally better for people). To celebrate the occasion there will be a pre-party at 8PM BST and then an elytra race at 9PM BST (It will be like the event at the air flight event, where you fly through rings. Also the times are subject to change based on feedback, so if you object to these times please say your ideal time below.). After that, there will be a fireworks celebration and a winner's celebration shortly after. All participants will receive a fancy ceremonial shield and 100% Lackria-Baked pies. The grand prize will be a yacht in the Lackria Docks (like the one pictured above), the runner's up prize is a beacon (plus a plot in Lackria anywhere) and the Third-Place prize is a plot in Lackria anywhere they want. The three winners also receive some cookies and renium! It's quite a short notice, but I think it will be great to see people in town to celebrate the occasion and have fun! :)

Thanks!
William

I remember our first contact, William, before or just around when you started Lackria. You were brand new on the server and helped with building some SRN tracks and stations (West Station and North Station). You were so energetic and active, you had some good ideas and you went straight into doing the building. At North Station I even had to roll back some new elements you build because I wasn't fast and sharp enough to hold you back a bit. I felt a bit bad for having to do that. Happy was I to see you that it didn't get too demotivated on this server, when I saw you started Lackria. And look at how well that went!

It was a pleasure to work with you later, on SRN/NTN elements in Lackria (the SRN and NTN stations, the hot air balloon, track, etc). And setting up the first Lackria elytra race with you was fun too!

Congratulations on such a large and successful project!

I'd love to be at the one year celebration party but upcoming saturday I don't have time  :-\ (If it'd be on friday or sunday I could join. Keeping my fingers crossed).

Good luck and have fun!

Have fun! I haven't been involved in Lackria business but occasionally poke around as part of SRN/NTN buisness. I really enjoy the builds!

Like edo, I can remember the day you first joined the server and founded Lackria, and its pretty incredible to see the huge growth that the town has had from its humble beginnings. I never bought a plot in the town, but in hindsight, I would have loved to have been a bigger part of the amazing group who have helped to make the town what it is. And although I have not been active on this server for the last 6 months or so, I'll try to make an effort to attend the celebrations and uphold my title of elytra race champion :P

I've never been there since I've only joined like a little bit less than a week ago, but I'll go check out what the area is like. From the pictures they look good.

I'll definitely come take a look around.  I'm usually busy on Saturdays, but I will definitely make an effort to get there!  And who knows, some day I may be doing this myself?  Neither here nor there, though, good job and congratulations on a year's tenure and prosperity!

Thank's edo_! The SRN and NTN project is what really kickstarted the city honestly!
We'll see about Friday, if anyone else would prefer that please do say :)

Oh yes, of course - you are the reigning champion still (from back in the first few months where we hosted it)
If this gets popular enough, maybe we'll do it weekly like in the old style (or at /warp airshow !)

Welcome to the server! You can check it out by taking the Eastern rail, and heading North at East Station :) follow the signs there! I'm sure someone online may also be able to teleport you.  :D

Thanks!

Hey all!
The One-Year anniversary has passed, and we had a great time playing some games and celebrating the city!
We opened the night with a diamond hunting game around the city, where people had to go through and find diamonds in the town and got to keep what they found. People ended up finding a lot of diamonds (unfortunately for me ;)) and it was a great time.

The next event, though was even better - a PvP Battle Royale in the Lackria Arena. Everyone was placed in the arena and the last man standing took the DCD prize of 8,000! Fuzzycube took the first round with style! The top three winners of the second round were placed in the grand finale to battle for a Yacht on the Lackria docks.

It was a long and brutal battle but three came out on top to fight for the grand prize; Y3Y3, fuzzy and thegreat!

One had to come out on top, however, and after a tiring finale Y3Y3 sealed the yacht, dealing the killing blow to fuzzycube! He won the yacht, and the right to call himself the champion of the evening. To end the evening, we played two rounds of UHC for the grand prize of 5000 DCD. I say two rounds, because somehow I won the first round (and technically the second round :p) but fuzzycube regained his title beating me in deathmatch (kinda) in a duel to death!

Overall, we had a great evening and it was nice to spend a few hours celebrating a year of Lackria!
Thanks, everyone!
