My likings on 1.14
« on: April 21, 2019, 05:31:02 am »
Currently, 1.14 is about to come out in 3 days. I am both excited and nervous for how it is going to come out. I am excited for the new crafting blocks, like the loom and the stone cutter, but I am not looking foreward to the new villager mechanics. It is going to break every villager breeder and storage system that there is, making villager breeding, an already complicated process, even more tough and difficult. I don't like how every villager is assigned to a specific block. It seems unnecessary and is changing it too much. The good things about this update are the new blocks, new mobs, and the village upgrade. I love how they look and I am so excited for the new texture blocks. Either way, bads aside, I am excited for this new update.

While I agree on the good things, and can see the dislike for the new trade system, you have to think from a balancing standpoint. The current villager situation is... OP to say the least. The ability to constantly trade hundreds of mending books within the hour is really really strong. I don't think they should remove the current iron farms though, mining takes far too long.
