Quick Question about the mob heads dropping, does looting impact the drop rates?

So exited that all mobs now drop heads! Just wondered if this include shulkers and dragon, and if looting effects the chances of getting these heads.

hay o everyone. Recently the server added a new plugin-mob's drop their own heads-which is great but there is one issue I have. I don't think that creepers, skellys, and zombies shouldn't drop their heads when being killed; only the vanilla way which is by charged creepers. It ruins the economy because skellington heads used to sell for 10k, now they sells for 250dcd! It is to easy to get them and makes charged creepers farm not needed and makes charge creepers themselves a waste of space.

Also does looting effect the rate that mobs drop their head?

Looting does not effect drop rates. If the price of skelly  heads goes down that persons lossing money since these are not true heads these are the minecraft provided player heads that are designed for map makers (MHF skulls). So no creeper farms should not be a waist if you want true mob heads. Not all mobs drop their heads but there are a few that drop somthing else.

ather the changing drop chance of heads skeletons wont drop head i kiled 1000+ no head zombies blaze and sheep work fine

zombies, skeletons, enderman, spiders, slime, mangma slimes all have the same drop rate which is lower then 1%

1 procent feels wrong to me yesterday
i killed a few skeletons

1194 skeletons kiled when i started.
2018 when i was done.
0 skuls done.

At the same time my XP level was 113 and it ended at 121.

The same time i had to fix a new bow as i lost mine at the airshow

In any case i kiled a few more enderman to test, when the droprate was 2% i got 12 skulls kiling 1500 enderman.

Enderman kiled when i started
9402 at xp level 52
14061 at xp 98
0 skulls

in any case hope this helps love the new feature

Your sample size is tiny. The probability of getting at least one head in 24 kills, when the chance per kill is 1/100, is slightly more than one in five. You'd have to kill a couple of hundred to get a statistically good chance of getting a head drop, and you'll never guarantee it.

Did i miss something i kiled over 800 skeletons in that sesion and over 4000 enderman and i dont mind that they drops are super rare but from geting 10 to 20 for a few hours work to none in 2 days seems a bit wierd

Yeah, I misread your 1194 (sorry). Your chance of not getting a head at all was one in 4000. Either something's up, or you were *that* unlucky.

Most likely yes more heads will be added to the list of heads right now, but I don't know if they are using Xisuma's rates for head drops.

The mob heads drop is a custom plugin not a command block which is what X uses so they are 2 completely different systems the drop rates are good and they are supposed to be 'Very Rare' we found at 2% the drops were to frequent for a 'Very Rare' drop so we went lower.

At this stage we won't be changing the Rates as we feel they are good as they are as a Very rare drop and Ren Agreed
