Within the first week, the NTN Team, now under the leadership of {{Player\|colliecolie}} & {{Player\|GG553}}, set to work marking out locations for the central nether hubs. In contrast to [[Survival 5]], Survival 6 returned to 2 worlds, meaning the NTN Team restructured to concentrate 2 managers to each of the worlds as opposed to a singular manager. {{Player\|AwesomeTom21}} & {{Player\|HatterSkye}} would manage the [[Retriever]] NTN, while {{Player\|Mika_Panda}} & {{Player\|TrainerMoon}} managed the Sheltie NTN.

			In an slight change to previous seasons, the nether hubs would not be connected to spawn portals in the pre-designed spawn areas built by the [[Dogcraft Creative Team]], leading to small alterations on Sheltie, where the NTN had to build around one of the existing nether builds created by the DCT.

			The first NTN Dig Session was held on the 29th of December 2023, with work on the NTN Hubs and tunnels progressing quickly, work began on establishing a mini-hub design too. The NTN Donation Centre was completed on the 25th of January and formed a key part of the unified Dogcraft Transport area on Retriever which came to be due to the amalgamation of all 4 server transport networks into a singular discord.

			The NTN Hubs were completed on the 30th of January 2024 with the official opening taking place a few days later on the 2nd of February, during which a special head hunt was hosted and event T-shirts were given out. The opening drew in a large number of players and boosted awareness of the NTN.

			After this time, the world managers and leads took some time away from the server to recuperate and attend to real life commitments, however progress on the NTN did not stop during this time, being primarily spearheaded by other members of the community. Progress continued tentatively throughout the remainder of 2024 and into the beginning of 2025, activity however petered out during this time, with ''Mika_Panda'' stepping back from their role as NTN World Manager. In May 2025, with activity at an all time low, and demand for the NTN being increasingly present, the team decided to restructure the project management significantly.

			''Colliecolie'' would step back from her role as NTN Lead, additionally ''HatterSkye'' would also step back from their position as NTN World Manager. As one of the last remaining active team members, ''AwesomeTom21'' would take up the mantle of NTN Lead, with ''GG553'' also remaining in the role. ''Mika_Panda'' would also return from their hiatus as NTN World Manager, with ''Bucherwurm'' and ''M_Sky3'' joining the team to focus on the Retriever NTN. ''Mika_Panda'' would return to managing the Sheltie NTN, continuing alongside ''TrainerMoon''.

			The main hub's Cyberdog cog logo designs featured on every world have a different pride flag's color pallete to reflect the identities of the world managers at that time, with Akita featuring the Agender pride flag, Shepherd featuring the Genderqueer pride flag, Labrador featuring the Bisexual pride flag, and Corgi featuring the transgender pride flag. This design was made to reflect the diversity of the managers, being the first fully queer Dogcraft transportation network management team. This design was also created with the intention of showing new players that Dogcraft and the NTN itself was a safe haven for LGBT+ players.


			The Sur5 NTN was also intentionally designed to be accessible to colorblind players, with directional banners stating which direction you were going. These banners were designed to be high contrast so all players would be able to benefit from them. {{Player\|AwesomeTom21}} and {{Player\|starr274}} assisted in this process with information on high-contrast visability, different forms of colorblindness, and how to make it accessible to all players as well.


			Before Sur5 even started, {{Player\|TrainerMoon}} had the idea of hosting NTN work sessions on designing the hubs in creative. This happened again once in the beginning of Sur5 to work on digging out the start of the tunnels and the main hubs. But, after a seemingly one-off dig session in the first month of the new server, {{Player\|colliecolie}} had an epiphany whilst working on the NTN to host the same type of session - but on a weekly basis. This idea blossomed into the weekly NTN work sessions on Friday nights hosted in discord.
