Initially, the idea of a submarine was proposed by ''N1cM4tth3w63'', stating that it would fit in well with the other ocean themed stations, such as [[Tidal Station\|Tidal]] and [[Hibernia Station\|Hibernia]]. ''Montenator'' then decided it might be fitting to make it a yellow submarine, relating to the commonly used colour to represent the South Line and as a reference to the famous Beatles song 'Yellow Submarine'.
