==About==
Termite Station is a connected station between Retriever North Station and Minedog's station. Located near the RHN Termite Shelter near Nerotheimmortal's base. The station also features a connecting nether portal to the NTN.

==History==
The station was designed by Artic_2446 with the help of Minda905 and was constructed a few weeks later on the Dogcraft server from sandbox by Artic_2446 and Xambaka. The station has a small simple design as it is a connecting station between to main station on the North Line. The design for the station as created off the top of Artic_2446's head with no prior design plan.

==Design & Location==
West Station on the Sheltie server is the furthest mainline station from any spawn this season. It is actually within the traditional 1500 blocks from the previous station, [[Grand Central Station (Sheltie)|Grand Central Station]], but due to the masive spawn sea and linemanager Skelleton123 wanting to go around that, it's a ride of over 5 minutes long. Exceding the AFK-timers. You definitly can't ride this part AFK.

The station is based on a victorian-style build, adapted for minecraft and it's purpose as an SRN station. Using mostly sandstone and mangrove for the facade and warped planks and stems for the roof.

Due to it's location, directly west of Spawn across the water, a [[Connected Seas Coalition|CSC]] port was integrated as well, using the same block palet. To also provide a point of departure for the horse-riding cyberdogs, a [[Road and Horse Network|RHN]] stables was also included. West of the complex, a wall indicates where you enter into the 'wild west' of the Sheltie world.

The station has been designed to serve as a hub for travelers on the Sheltie world.

In the main building, you'll find beds on the platform, to take a rest, and some barrels and enderchests accompanied by some crafting tables for storing and crafting. Also the biggest map of the server, so far, is located in the main building. Aim for the future is to have the whole West-line displayed on that map! An [[Nether Transport Network|NTN]] portal sits on the oposit side of the station building

The [[Connected Seas Coalition|CSC]] port houses some chests proving you with compasses to find your way across the sea to some other ports. Including a lighthouse to guide you towards the port.

The [[Road and Horse Network|RHN]] Stables is still needing an interior, but the stables are able to store your horses safely.

The Station build was started within a month of the server launching. {{Player|Skelleton123}} however underestimated the amount of work it would take to finish the station and had to re-evaluate the amount of time it would take to finish. In the end it took about 7 months to gather all the blocks and build up the station and it's surroundings.
In the final weeks leading up to the opening, the task of building the line was done by Skelleton123 himself. As he couldn't find a suitable date to host a line-building session. Along the way to spawn, the North station was discovered to be so close to the line. The last part of the track (or the first part if you are departing from spawn) is shared by both cardinal lines. Also a first!

On August the 8th of 2024 both North and West Station were opened up together in a joined line-opening event. The event first took everyone on a short 2.5min ride to North station, to then return to Grand Central Station and ride the line again, but this time to West Station!
