He slowly came closer to the edge, unaware of his surroundings, feeling waves of energy pulling him. And then he fell. But contrary to what many would think, he didn’t hit the ground nor die upon touching the dark matter. Scientists were tasked with studying this discovery and hopefully finding some clues about the disappearance of the adventurer.<br /> <br /> ====Operation End====<br /> Over the next few years, many tests were run in the lab. Researchers sent machines equipped with cameras and sensors into the cavity. They discovered that the dark matter acted like a portal to a different dimension. The other side seemed... empty, devoid of any life. Sky was always dark, covered with millions of stars that were the only light source. If you stared at it long enough, it started to look like the dark matter from the portal. When something entered it, it landed on one of many floating islands made out of some type of yellow stone.<br /> <br /> ==== Strange discoveries ====<br /> After days of research and finally entering the portal the scientists discovered that the mysterious dimension isn't as empty as it seemed at the beginning. It was inhabited by tall creatures with skin as dark as the night sky, who possessed an unusual ability to teleport. They observed the scientists curiously, but didn't approach or bother them unless provoked. These creatures seemed to have built stacking cities scattered across the islands. The flora of this dimension consisted only of one plant. Upon closer inspection and tests it was determined that it is edible for humans, but with one side effect - it teleported the eater a short distance.<br /> <br /> ==== The rescue ====<br /> When scientists felt like they know the dimension and it's threats enough, a rescue team was sent through the portal, to hopefully find the lost man. It took quite some time, but finally some clues were found. They lead to one of the cities. It varied a little from the rest of the ones that the group saw previously. A big farm of the teleporting plant surrounded it, and there were many hand-made makeshift contraptions and tools scattered all around it. A lone man sat inside one of the rooms. When he saw the group, he seemed scared and surprised, but after a while and the rescue team telling him they are here to help the man relaxed a little. It was truly incredible how the traveler managed to survive. He was safely escorted back to the lab, where he got medical examination.<br /> <br /> ==== More discoveries ====<br /> The adventurer told the scientists everything he new about the dimension in which he got stuck in for few years. What sparked the most interest were the &quot;end crystals&quot; - powerful sources of energy.
