|purpose=Construction of server Builds
|leader= SummerFlower1234
|status=Defunct (Consolidated into Creative Team
}}
The Dogcraft Build Team was a compiled of a group of players, tasked with creating builds for the Dogcraft Server. These builds included server required builds, and any worlds, hubs, etc. for minigames. In March 2022, as part of a consolidation effort, the team was merged with the Events Team to form the Dogcraft Creative Team, led by SummerFlower1234.

History
The Dogcraft Build Team was originally a group of players from the staff team, tasked with creating farms on the Dogcraft server. In Survival 2, before the launch of said world, a new group was selected from the larger Dogcraft community. They were tasked with creating the Survival 2 Spawn area. This team, which would end up becoming build team that exists today, was led by at first SummerFlower1234 and Wildfirev. When the team became official, Wildfirev remained its leader. The Build Team was overseen by the Headmods, who at the time of its founding were j0n_r4ng and Rustbite who was also heavily involved in leadership decisions in the beginning. A separate Discord server was made for this team on the 1st of July 2017, by Rustbite.

Survival 1 and 2
This team, and its predecessors, would work on different projects, like various server malls, the official Pigman and Enderman farms, the Dogcraft Hub, and Minigame areas (Hide n Seek and Nitro UHC arenas, Bedwars maps, and the different associated lobbies). One of the biggest undertakings of the official build team, during Survival 2, was the complete terraforming of the central end island. The project, undertaken by a team lead by then master builder Mr_Quasi aimed remake the end island in an organic style. Big mushrooms were built to cover the end gateways, each by a different member of the team working on the project, and large custom trees were created around each of the end pillars by kimandjax. Additionally, the endstone ground was replaced by an organic dirt and podzol mix. The whole area was protected by the Worldguard plugin, to preserve the island, except for a ring around each pillar, enabling getting to the top during a dragon fight, and mining obsidian before one.

Survival 3
During the Survival 3 world, the build team had constructed various public use areas, such as the official server Mall, the Enderman farm, the Pigman farm, and partook in the construction of several event locations, among other things. Also during Survival 3, the build team began organizing themed Build Battles, roughly every three months. In the August of 2019, Wildfirev retired as the leader of the build team, OldmanLP85 taking over the position.

With the server update to Minecraft version 1.14.4 on the 24th of September, 2019, the construction of a completely new hub to replace the one active since 2017 was announced, created by OldmanLP85, with help from Mipronk, kimandjax, and RoseRedTiger in the last few months, the new Dogcraft jail, AzkaBan, was created but unfortunately never able to be used due to plugin restrictions.

Survival 4
In the last two weeks of Survival 3, the Build Team were made busy with producing the new spawn for Survival 4: Camp Dogcraft, later to be known as Camp Husky. Then, a couple of weeks later they were asked to build Camp Beagle, for the new Survival 4 second world.

They had also been busy creating the new server Mall, Enderman farm and Pigman farm. The server Jail, AzkaBan, was able to be brought over from Survival 3. In March 2022, prior to the launch of Survival 5, the team was merged with the Events Team to form the new Dogcraft Creative Team.
Joining
The builders in the team were chosen from players on the server. The selection process includes an application to join the team, followed by an "interview build”. Traditionally the potential members were required to build something according to a theme and instructions. Recently, the build team began hiring members based on Build Battles entrants, as well as advertising through discord.
Survival 5 is the fifth season of Survival Multiplayer worlds on the Dogcraft Server. It has not currently started, succeeding the Survival 4 world, bringing with it the update to Minecraft 1.18: Caves & Cliffs: Part II, and a total reset of Dogcraft Dollar balances, and claim blocks.

Announcement & Release
On the 3rd of January, 2022, it was announced by MCDarkGreen Scooberson that the Dogcraft Server would be updating and that after that Survival 4 would soon be ending to make way for a Survival 5. Some details about the new world were revealed, such as the continuation of two worlds, a total reset of claim blocks, purchases and DCD balances, a mall world reset. It was also announced that Survival 5 would update to Minecraft 1.18.1 and later would update to 1.18.2.
<br>
<br>
A further announcement on the 1st of March revealed further details. The Survival 4 worlds will be taken down on the 14th of March and that Survival 5 would be launched on the 18th of March. The amount of worlds will be increased to four, and will be named Corgi, Labrador, Shepherd and Akita after the results of a community poll. It was also announced that the server's economy systems (currency, homes, mall) are undergoing a major reconstruction at Rendog's request, and that they would not be ready or present for the beginning of the Survival 5 worlds.

Please Note that Survival 5 has not yet been released.

Player reaction was largely positive to the announcement, Although some players were upset about the removal of all claim blocks, player balances, the lack of official economy, and starting without homes.
Camp Beagle is a Spawn of the Beagle Survival 4 world on the Dogcraft Server and the origin point where all players start when they first join. The build has striking similarity to it's original counterpart, Camp Husky. This is an intended feature, in order to give the two overworld dimensions as much continuity and 'togetherness' as possible.

Features
Camp Beagle is based on a rustic American 'summer camp' theme and has several areas. Players spawn into the world on a jetty at the southern end of the camp, before making their way up to the camp house with rules. After the player has viewed these, they can continue proceed north to the flagpole area. From here the camp area then splits into several paths. One leads past a sundial to the cabins, filled with interesting items and commemorate the builder of the area. Another leads to the SRN's Grand Central Station, where four railway line depart through the landscape in each cardinal direction, as well as the server nether portal in split off path nearby. The eastern path heads toward the Dining Hall, and splits in two, one leading out to the camp gate, and another back toward the day area to the boat racing track. The elements of the camp are set in a dense spruce forest. The camp uses blue merchandise to differentiate from Husky's red.

Construction
After performance issues using a singular overworld, the decision was made around a week after opening to implement a second. This left the Build Team with a very short window to complete a second spawn location. Fortunately, due to the team's recent experience with the same style and elements, this could be achieved and the area was complete on the 9th of April, five days after it began. The project was again co-ordinated by former Build Team leader OldManLP85, with the building completed by members of the Build Team, higher staff, and SRN personnel.
Survival 4 is the fourth era of Survival Multiplayer worlds on the Dogcraft Server. It was launched on the 1st of April, 2020, succeeding the Survival 3 world, bringing with it the update to Minecraft 1.15: The Buzzy Bees, a new Dogcraft.net website and a total reset of Dogcraft Dollar balances, claim blocks and previous purchases. Survival 4 also marked two other major changes: A move to dedicated server hardware and the first Survival season to have multiple "sub worlds" with the addition of Beagle and Husky. The Survival 4 worlds were supported through two major Minecraft releases - to 1.16 on 24th July 2020 and to 1.17 on 28th August 2021.

Husky & Beagle
See also: Camp Husky (spawn), Camp Beagle (spawn)

Unlike all prior Survival worlds, there is no single Survival 4 world. Rather, there are two interconnected worlds for players to build and explore on; "Husky" and "Beagle". Both worlds have different seeds as well as separate Nether and End dimensions and can be freely traveled between. They each have their own maximum player cap, at 55 players each. Both world spawns follow the same summer camp theme. However, although they are separate worlds, player data is shared between the two. This means that player inventories (including mob eggs), armour, experience, levels, advancements, potion effects and Ender Chests are shared between the two worlds. The Nether dimension in each world was reset as part of the update to Minecraft 1.16.

Announcement & Release
After over a year and a half, some players began raising questions as to the longevity of the Survival 3 world, as it was on its way to becoming one of the longest lasting worlds on Dogcraft. However, poor performance following Survival 3's update to Minecraft 1.14 and the poor chunk-loading behavior that brought with it built anticipation for an update to the next version, 1.15.

On the 14th of March, 2020, it was announced by MCDarkGreen Scooberson that the Dogcraft Server would be updating and that after that Survival 3 would soon be ending to make way for a Survival 4 world as a result of the need to transition to new hardware. Some details about the new world were revealed, such as the removal of the world border and the fact that it meant a total reset of claim blocks, purchases and DCD balances. It was also announced that Survival 4 would update to Minecraft 1.16 upon the version's release, meaning that the nether would need to be reset to allow for the new generation.

Player reaction was largely positive to the announcement, with the majority welcoming the upgrade. Some players were upset about the removal of all claim blocks and player balances, however unlike the transition from Survival 2 to Survival 3, players were optimistic thanks to the advanced notice given by leadership and much better organisation.

Addition of Beagle
Survival 4's opening day was heavily plagued by various lag and chunk loading issues caused by the strain of over a hundred players on launch. These issues were such that many considered the server unplayable for the first few days. Several plugins were disabled throughout the following week, and player numbers began to drop slowly, to around an average of 70. Many aspects of the server improved significantly, especially chunk loading and mob spawning, and it was widely noted that the new hardware was performing better than the old given the circumstances. Nevertheless, the server was still not an ideal experience, and crashes became very frequent at the end of the first week, as did persistent issues with warps.

An announcement pertaining to the situation was made by former Head Moderator simply_simon_ on the 7ᵗʰ of April. The announcement detailed the planned solution to the various lag issues. A second overworld would be created and would function as another dimension, with inventories, ender chests and experience levels all retained when teleporting between the two. This would allow Minecraft, a 'single threaded' game, to be run across two single threads, one computing a separate overworld each. The new overworld would feature it's own nether and end dimensions which can also be teleported to from the other nether and end. Chat and 'Tab' screens would be shared, as would moderating tools. The new overworld would be called Camp Beagle, and the original renamed Camp Husky, in reference to the camp style spawn builds they have. Beagle would launch on the 11ᵗʰ of April, the same day as a player cap would be placed on the server for the first time, of 55 (plus five extra spaces for moderators) for each Camp.

Features
A number of new features and changes were added alongside the transition.

*Claim blocks could now be purchased directly in-game using the <code>/buyclaimblocks</code> command, for 2DCD per claim block.
*A new homes plugin was added, and then replaced with a similar but slightly more straightforward custom version.
**Players could now set homes publicly, allowing anyone to travel to them.
**All players could now set infinite homes, a change from the previous progression system.
*Mob eggs, a feature that was available during Survival 1 and some of Survival 2 saw a return, allowing players to have a chance of "capturing" mobs by throwing an egg at them. It was later removed during the update to Minecraft 1.17.
*A new Shop Chests plugin allowing players to sell and buy goods, which was later used in conjunction with a Slab shop
*Return of the Dynmap; a live overhead map of the world also featuring real-time player locations and claimed areas on the map. After some months, it experienced occasional blackouts and was later disabled for performance reasons.

Maturation
As had become customary, the player count on during the Survival 4 era stabilised after it's first few weeks and was somewhat similar to the previous Survival 3 for much of 2020. During 2021, numbers slowly decreased, and had dropped relatively low by the 1.17 update. By the middle of 2021, it was commonly said that Husky was the more active of the two worlds.
Despite the expansion to home accessibility with the addition of public and universal infinite homes, transport and infrastructure networks maintained a high status and became further entrenched. The Survival 4 era, in large, saw the descent of cities from their place as one of the cornerstones of Dogcraft culture, and they generally struggled to gain the hype of previous eras. Official and player-run events became more frequent, with smaller official activities in addition to live player-run events providing much colour to the community.

Closure
Speculation throughout the player base pertaining to the closure of Survival 4 was regular in the leadup to the release of Minecraft 1.17, and then again before the release of 1.18. On the 3rd of January 2022, MCDarkGreen Scooberson announced in advance that the update to 1.18 would be the start of a new set of worlds on the Dogcraft Server, and that the existing Survival 4 worlds, Husky and Beagle, would be closed. General reception to the announcement was almost universally excitement. A further announcement on March 1st confirmed that Survival 4 was planned to close on March 14th, 2022.
Each has a different color for visibility. Ranks that make up the official staff team are: EnderGod, HeadMod, Admin, Mod and ChatMod. Other ranks point to other significant server roles, such as donators (PatreonsBlackVIPBlack WebAdmin, Events Black HelperBlack
EnderGod
The EnderGod rank is blue. It is held by: Renthedog (ReNDoG), the server owner, and Renthecat, Ironboundred's alternate account used for testing purposes.
Events
The Events rank is gold. It is held by members of the Cyberdog Events Committee, a branch of the staff team responsible for planning and organising public events for the server. This is currently an invisible rank, given that all players holding it also have higher roles.

Helper
Main article: Helper

The Helper tag is a mix of light blue with a light red tag name and is held by 3 people at a time who are appointed by the Server Head Moderators, based on staff suggestions, to assist players with server functions such as commands, linking and answering questions. However, helpers are not officially members of the Dogcraft staff team and do not have any additional powers or privileges. Helpers are only appointed for one month before 3 new people are appointed.

Website Admin
The WebAdmin rank is a light purple color. It is held by the Website Admin OD18 exclusively, as other Site Administrators have higher ranks.
<br />
VIP
The VIP rank is orange/yellow or gold in color. It is held by only a few people, who supported ReNDoG with donations before he used Patreon for this. The rank can not be acquired by others anymore.

Pioneer
The Pioneer rank is light blue. It is held by a small group of people and was given out in two waves.
First Wave
The first wave of people to receive the rank were beta-testers for the server in the time the server was whitelisted and being tested, between the 28th of September to the 14th of November, 2015.
Second Wave
The second wave of people to receive the rank were given it on the 2nd of August, 2019, who were given the rank for assistance in testing the server update to Minecraft 1.14: Village & Pillage. Testing was done for this version as the server changed its setup to rely on a different proxy service. Players involved in this 1.14 testing in their capacity of Staff Members were not granted the Pioneer rank.

Patreon Ranks
Several Patreons ranks can be obtained - IronPatreon, GoldPatreon, EmeraldPatreon, and DiamondPatreon. They are held by those who actively support ReNDoG through donations on his Patreon page. The level of Patreon support is mirrored in by a players server rank.

Former Ranks
Staff
The Staff rank was first created after former head moderator j0n_r4ng resigned from his position. For a while he was the only one to hold the rank, until all non-server staff (who were discord moderators, discord admins, and the patreon headmod, since at that time, a website staffteam was almost nonexistent) and former headmods were granted it in late 2018. The rank was later disolved entierly with the separation of the server and discord teams in late December 2019. Prior to the creation of WebAdmin, OD18 held this role until December 2020. The Staff rank was light blue, and was not a moderatorial role on the server.

Patreon
Prior to Survival 4, all Patreons were represented by the Patreon rank, regardless of their Patreon level.

Swedish Potato
The Pioneer
