Dogcraft Creative Becomes Three

As the server continues to grow, things continue to change. Summerflower1234 has been the lead of the Dogcraft Creative team for a year now in addition to all her other work. As our community continues to grow and projects became larger, there needed to be a small change made. Summerflower1234 has stepped aside as the team leader of the Creative team in order to focus on her other responsibilities. Summer will not be an easy person to replace; in fact, three new leaders were brought on to fill her position. We congratulate Dutchsoccer, EtaTheZeta and TheWhiteTiger as they step forward to fill Summerflower’s position as team leader. They have already held a team meeting planning the server's next major community build. Dates. Times and location of that will be released in the coming weeks, so keep an eye out in the announcements for that. In the meantime, best of luck to our new team leaders as we continue to building a better server.

CDNN Awards

You’ve heard of the Academy Awards, the Golden Globe awards and the Bafta film awards, but now, on our very own Dogcraft server we’d like to announce….
The CDNN film awards!

How do you win one of those you might ask? Well, it’s simple, starting today everybody will have the opportunity to create a Dogcraft short film and submit it to qualify for the CDNN awards.
Submissions will close on the 31st of March 2023, after which every Cyberdog will have the chance to vote for their favorite one in each of the three categories. These categories are:

- Best screenplay
- Best writing
- Best cinematography

Winners will be announced soon after, and they get to go home with some awesome prizes such as a special mini block and a custom digital trophy!
Every submitted short film must follow a couple guidelines to be able to qualify for the award, these criteria are:

- All films must follow this year’s theme: Exploration
- Your film must be no longer than 5 minutes
- It must be Dogcraft or ReNDoG related
- Should be recorded at a resolution of 1080p or higher
- And it must also follow the standard community rules

The rest is completely up to you to decide!
As this might be quite a task for a single person alone to handle (although possible) I highly encourage you to team up with others. Every team member will be given the same prize!
https://twitter.com/Dogcraftnet/status/1629905520453664768

Good luck, and most importantly, have fun!

Its in the The Fine Detials

As you run around our lovely server, you will inevitabley see different players creating custom banners for their home bases. This little detail adds an identity not only to a build but a player. You can’t help but see a sunshine Habour banner and not think of JVKermit or Jmsvvr. It helps identify different groups on the server like the Leon whose banner can be found not only in their large city, but individual bases or even ‘consulates’ on other servers. Most times players see banners and don’t give them a second thought. Hundreds of banners have been placed in the NTN and SRN to help denote distances or names of locations. A player by the name of PerskyPuff has taken the time to build a museum dedicated to these uniquie Minecraft items. PerksyPuff opened the museum not only for players to view and appreciate the fine craftmanship of banners, but also to invite players to contact them if they wish to donate their own personal banner to the collection.
Our current server may only be a year or so old but that doesn't mean Dogcraft hasn’t existed prior to this. A group of dedicated members on the server are taking the time to preserve older ruins while incorporating newer technology and builds to it. Marsh Mechanics lead by a number of players; CanadianSteampk, Lunna, Minedog, Blacksteel to name a few. These members are taking the ruins of the past, stabilizing them while also bring new modern builds to the area. Marsh Mechanics is open for a solo walking tour or contact one of their members if you wish to take a tour. Their members are a helpful, friendly bunch who would like nothing more than to show you around their ancient ruins.
So much has occured over the last year there is no way we could sum it up in a news artlce, but we do have a plan. That plan involves all of you. We want to collect photos from across all the servers. The fun times you have had with your friends, the amazing buildings you have built and even those far off places you explored on the server. We are collecting photos to enter into an album contest. Detials on the wikki so go take a look. We can't wait to see what you bring us.

Dates, times and location of that will be released in the coming weeks so keep an eye out in the announcements for that. In the meantime, best of luck to our new team leaders as we continue to building a better server.
As you run around our lovely server you will inevidtabley see different players creating custome banners for their home bases. This little detail adds an identiy not only to a build but a player. You can’t help but see a sunshine Habour banner and not think of JVKermit or Jmsvvr. It helps identify different groups on the server like the Leon whos banner can be found not only in their large city but individual bases or even ‘consulates’ on other servers. Most times players see banner and don’t give them a second thought. Hundred of banners have been placed in the NTN and SRN to help denote distances or names of locations. A player by the name of PerskyPuff has taken the time to build a museum dedicated to display of these uniquie Minecraft items. PerksyPuff open the museum not only for players to view and appcriate the fine craftmanship of banners, but also invites players to contact them if they wish to donate their own personal banner to the collection.
A group of dedicated members on the server are taking the time to preserver older ruins while encorporating newer tecknologoy and builds to it. Marsh Mechanics lead by a number of players; CanadianSteampk, Lunna, Minedog, Blacksteel to name a few. These members are taking the ruins of the past, stabilizing them while also bring new modern builds to the area.
Starting 2023 with a Bang

As the year comes to an end there were big plans to send off 2022 in spectacular form. After two weeks of planning, designing and building from the Leon team, a spectacle to behold was unveiled. Our very own Eybwam took the lead on designing a Redstone contraption that would send 2022 off with a bang. Eybwam was not alone in this endeavor, EtaThetaZeta was responsible for the countdown clock inside the nearby skyscraper while Summerflower, Val, and Eddy all lent their tools to copying the design over from a creative test world. The end result was four specular shows plan so that the maximum number of cyberdogs could attend the showing.
If, however, you were not able to see it in person, a few members recorded the display for YouTube and future news broadcasting. It is worth noting that no deaths occurred at this event! Good job all.

The Cyberdog Movers

With 2022 coming to an end, we saw a massive influx in our player base. Not only have we updated to a new version of Minecraft, but we also saw the release of the second base tour video from our own Endergod Rendog. They ushered in a large influx of new players which put our transit systems to a great test. We proudly have a variety of transportation systems at your disposal. Anything from horse back riding through the open servers to barreling down an ice road in the burning nether. We promise that we have cleared the lava for you. All these transit systems have been built by a dedicated player base on the server. Work began at the start of the survival five season and continues to push forward into new chunks everyday. One dedicated player has dug through 1,964,151 blocks of netherack while building the NTN tunnels, Nethet Tunnel Network.

These tunnels are in all four worlds and currently reach out to the twenty thousand block marker on each of the four survival servers. Workers continue to push further out hoping to reach the forty thousand mark before the season ends. The NTN is always looking for volunteers whether it be for fifteen minutes or two hour dig session. The group is always friendly and welcoming to every player who joins them. Ask in discord and you will be directed towards the NTN/SRN discord page to be kept up-to-date on events and building sessions.

Taking to the Rails

While the NTN is digging away the SRN, Server Rail Network makes continued progress in the over-world. Currently, they are only found on two of the four servers, but what a sight they are. Each rail line leaving spawn has amazing views of the spawn region while also passing over truly breath taking bridges constructed by even more volunteers. In the early parts of 2023, the SRN hopes to open a number of different stations along its rail lines. Speaking from personal experience, station openings are always a blast to be at with the occasional death mixed in.Throughout the coming months the SRN will contiune to open new stations as well as few more line extenions. Keep an eye out on discord for these annoucments, all are welcome to join us when a line opens. Like the NTN they are always happy to have players lend thier time and tools to a project.

Looking for builders this year

If tunnels and rails don’t do it for you, might I suggest the CSC, Connected Seas Collation. Currently, it is a network of boating stations surrounding the seas around the spawn region. Management has grand plans to expand further. Who hasn’t started their Minecraft adventure in a boat trying to find the easiest way to navigate around a land mass. The Collation is currently looking for builders to design and build their very own CSC station. A competion will be held soon to locate the best design(s). Keep an eye on discord for an announcement for official rules and times of the build battle.

Change in leadership

With a new year on our hands, the NTN has promoted a few of its most prominent members to leadership roles to help guide the continued efforts of reaching forty thousand blocks. AwesomeTom21, Mika_Panda, and Hatterskye have all been promoted to world managers while Colliecolie and GG553 are being promoted to joint-project leaders of the NTN! Congratulations to each of you as you push forward.

Highlighted Player of the month AwesomeTom21

AwesomeTom21 has been a member of dogcraft since April 2021. They have been an active member of the NTN while also being the CEO and chief mastermind behind Tom’s Tatties. AwesomeTom21 was made a discord moderator in October 2022 and is a freshly appointed world manager for Shepard NTN. He enjoys a good day of work in his potatoes fields. In the evenings, they cool off by doing some PVP with members of the server. To date, he still has not lost a PVP battle.

While the NTN is digging away the SRN, Server Rail Network makes continued progress in the over-world.

Who hasn’t started their Minecraft adventure in a boat trying to find the easiest way to navigate around a land mass.

The SRN, Sever Rail Network, has been inspired by Rendog's own Grand Central. Currently the SRN is operating on two diffrent servers. The SRN bost some amazing bridges leaving spawn. Many hours of deisgn and construction have gone into these diffrent wonders of the sever. The trip may take a bit longer but you get some truely amazing veiws of the world. Throughout the coming months the SRN will be opening a number of diffrent stations as well as few more line extenions.

Speaking from personal experience, station openings are always a blast to be at with the occasional death mixed in.

AwesomeTom21, Mika_Panda, and Hatterskye have all been promoted to world managers while Colliecolie and GG553 are being promoted to joint-project leaders of the NTN! Congratulations to each of you as you push forward.
Speaking from personal experience, station openings are always a blast to be at with the occasional death mixed in.

With 2022 coming to an end we saw a massive influx in our player base. Not only have we updated to a new version of Minecraft but we also saw the release of the second base tour video from our own Endergod Rendog. The ushered in a large influx of new players which put our transit systems to a great test.

These tunnels are on all four worlds and currently reach out to the twenty thousand block marker on each of the four survival servers.

With a new year on our hands the NTN has promote a few of its most prominent members to leadership roles to help guide the continued efforts of reaching forty thousand blocks. AwesomeTom21, Mika_Panda, Hatterskye have all been promoted to world managers while Colliecolie and GG553 are being promoted to joint-project leaders of the NTN! Congratulations to each of you as you push foward.
While the NTN is digging away the SRN, Server Rail Netowork, makes continued progress in the overwrold. Currently they are only found on two of the four servers, but what a sight they are. Each rail line leaving spawn has amazing views of the spawn region while also passing over truly breath taking bridges constructed by even more volunteers. IN the early parts of 2023 the SRN hopes to open a number of different stations along its rail linesd. Speaking from personal experience station openings are always a blast to be at with the occasion death mixed in.

If tunnels and rails don’t do it for you might I suggest the CSC, Connected Seas Collation. Currnetly it is a a network of boating station surrounding the seas around the spawn region. Management has grand plans to expand further. Who hasn’t started their Minecraft adventure in a boat trying to find the easiest way to navigate around a land mass. Currently the Coalation is looking for builders to design and build their very own CSC station. A competion will be help soon to locate the best design(s).
