Hello, I am GracessNella!

About me
Although I only started playing with the launch of 1.18, I have developed a passion for the game that allows me to unleash my love of all things artistic and spatially mathmatical. My first love in Minecraft is building; I love to test myself in different ways and build all sorts of things, from edwardian palaces to fantasy cave towns. I like to draw inspiration from real world structures and the natural world. I also draw inspiration from Studio Ghibli and Disney (especially the action-adventure phase of Disney). I also enjoy a bit of redstone and farm building and enjoy learning about the technical side of Minecraft.

On Dogcraft
*I joined Dogcraft in June 2022.
*I like to collect and grind materials and store them in a warehouse, ready in case anyone has a need.
*I love to help others so that they can make whatever amazing things they have in mind, and so the server can grow even more awesome.
*I adore exploring the worlds and seeing the amazingness people have done, from candlelit tables on tiny islands to the train station and nether hubs epicness.
*I enjoy participating in whatever community is working on and have loved lending a hand with the Nether Tunnel Network, the Survival Railway Network, and other community projects and events.
*Survival 5: Valley of the Shrooms - Nella settled on this grassy shore as a place to farm a few resources. Fields of wheat watered by windpumps are intermingled with giant mushrooms that mysteriously started sprouting around the place. Perhaps they spread from the basement beneath the seaside cottage. The basement contains not just giant fungi but also a warehouse and factory. The valley is also home to a village, various homely cottage businesses and even a small castle. Log Cabin - a need for powdered snow and an ice farm led Nella to set up a small abode in the mountains north of Mushroom Mountain. Mushroom Mountain - Nella's main project for the season. Nella's Shroomery - a shop established in MOTTO that sells mushroomy supplies in small quantities for gold, perfect for the new player who is starting up their own farms. Mall Shop - a shop originally conceived as a kind of gallery for art that morphed into a store for obscure blocks builders needed that weren't on the market yet.

Dogcraft is a large public server, which requires some changes to vanilla Java Minecraft in order to balance the game and make it fun for everyone, no matter when they join in the server's lifecycle.

In the past modified loot tables and specialty traders were used to supply access to otherwise non renewable items. Due to updates that have made these items farmable Survival 5 has not continued these.
Hello, I am GracessNella!

About me
I am an Australian minecrafter. Although I only started playing with the launch of 1.18, I have developed a passion for the game that allows me to unleash my love of all things artistic and spatially mathmatical. My first love in minecraft is building, I love to test myself in different ways and build all sorts of things, from edwardian palaces to fantasy cave towns. I like to draw inspiration from real world structures and the natural world. I also draw inspiration from Studio Ghibli and Disney (especially the action-adventure phase of Disney).
On Dogcraft
*I joined Dogcraft in June 2022.
*I have developed myself as a builder for hire. I have taken on jobs like shop interiors, large detailed digs, and building farms.
*I like to collect and grind materials and store them in a warehouse, ready in case anyone has a need.
*I love to help others so that they can make whatever amazing things they have in mind, and so the server can grow even more awesome.
*I adore exploring the worlds and I get shivers and stand in awe at all the amazingness people have done, from candle tables on tiny island to the train station and nether hubs of epicness.
*Season 5: Valley of the Shrooms - fields of wheat watered by windpumps are intermingled with giant mushrooms that mysteriously started sprouting around the place. Perhaps they spread from "Nausicaa's Basement" that lies beneath the seaside cottage. The basement contains not just giant fungi but also a warehouse and factory; but are all those floating spores safe? The Valley of Shrooms is serviced by "Rotting Log" train station. Mushroom Mountain - coming soon.

{{{}ROOTPAGENAME}} is the base of GracessNella on the Survival 5 world of the Dogcraft Server.

The Valley of the Shrooms is a spontaneous and unplanned base drawing on themes from Nausicaa and the Valley of the Wind including but not limited to agricultural setting, windmills and fungi takeover. It was intended as a starter base and industrial district + warehouse.

About
When GracessNella settled in a little seaside cottage to farm some passive mobs and crops for supplies and materials they also spent some time tending to beloved fungi in the basement. The fungi spores spread, soon sprouting up giant mushrooms all around the cottage, mycelium spread on the well worn paths around the Valley and a magical place was born.

Beneath the cottage the basement expanded. Mushrooms were farmed and all sorts of contraptions built to fuel the mushroom growths, as well as an organized storage warehouse.

All of the builds in the Valley of the Shrooms were built in survival and were experimental. There are some interesting uses of blocks as a result. Some of the large mushrooms have become home to other server residents who have made their own interiors.

Builds:

The Cottage

Barn and Stables

Rotting Log Station

Princess SummerPeach's Castle

Basement
The basement houses storage system and a number of farms connected up via waterpipes. Farms in the basement include cactus farm, moss farms (Etho design), fungus (Xisuma design) and mushroom farms, dripstone, lava, honey (ianxofour design), bamboo, wool, wheat, wood and sapling, amethyst, steak and leather. The basement makes use of ImpulseSV's item sorter in some places. Many of the farms have a manual component, or an off switch to prevent them running continuously. Water streams are used to transport items to provide a live aesthetic and convenient storage. The nether portal opens into the basement with a surface exit stairway.
Village
A small village for professional villagers lies just south of the cottage. The village is home to fletchers, librarians, clerics, masons, farmers and butchers. The villagers are contained for their safety and the prevention of cat hordes of invasion.
